Tielle (pronounced "teal") St. Clare has had life-long love of romance novels. She began reading romances in the 7th grade when she discovered Victoria Holt novels and began writing romances at the age of 16 (during Trigonometry, if the truth be told). During her senior year in high school, the class dressed up as what they would be in twenty years—Tielle dressed as a romance writer. When not writing romances, Tielle has worked in public relations and television for the past 30 years. Tielle moved to Alaska when she was seven years old when her father was transferred with the military. Tielle believes romances should be hot and sexy with a great story and fun characters.

This was actually a good story, I've never read anything from this author before but figured why not it wasn't overpriced and the cover was cool. I wasn't disappointed Craigh as an omega was different and unlike other omegas he wasn't so weak and annoyingly submissive. Rowen made a good alpha he was endearing but not overly aggressive. The only thing It didn't have in this was the whole True Mates that I love about shifter novels. Rowen knew he wanted to mate with Craigh but it wasn't a smell you must mate, he did wait a year and it seems like Criagh did not know they were mates. Pretty much that is the only part I would change about the book was the no true mates. There were funny parts I laughed at all in all great first book from this series

Truly loved this book!

I've read Ms. St. Clare's books for years, and have enjoyed all of them. I have my two favorites that have been at the top of my list for a long time. This book is now #3. Rowan and Craigh are perfect together. Craigh's values make him a definite hero. And the way Rowan protected the man he loves made me shiver. Hot sex added to the deliciousness of this book. It's a keeper!

Unexpected emphasis on erotic aspects of this romance

I like this author so I was eager to read this story about a larger than usual Omega. What I didn't anticipate was that there would be such a preoccupation with sex. There was a really decent story in between all the thoughts and descriptions about sex. My enjoyment would have increased exponentially if the majority of the sex talk, thoughts and descriptions were removed. Of course then it would no longer be the story that this author wrote. Yet I couldn't help longing for a more traditional m/m shifter romance.
I love stories featuring unusual Omegas that need rescuing by big tough Alphas. This was that story, only it seemed to me to be drenched in sex. If I had to read one more time about someone aching to put a certain body part into the other MC's body part, it made me feel like screaming. I wanted to hear about how charmed he was, how he couldn't wait to spend real time with him, really get to know him, even use the phrase make love ... not f##k every couple sentences.
I mean really! I'm no prude, but I felt like an old maid as I powered through "lurid" descriptions (see now I'm even using old maid language!) Heaven to Betsy! Don't pay me any attention. This is what I get - for reading an erotic romance right after finishing a family drama full of kids and a couple old Max Brand Westerns that don't use any profanity and NEVER had any nudity or sex. Those cowboys only took their shirts off to patch up a bullet wound or treat where a bear clawed the he-man. Now I'm looking at everything through steamed up rose colored glasses.
I know this is an "erotic" romance...but where was the romance part? Lone wolf and his friends own a bar. The lone big alpha had been lusting after the tall nicely built Omega for nearly a year. An alpha challenge has been given. Said Omega is about to get the big smack down. Lone alpha bartender tries to use sex to convince him not to fight the alpha of his pack. Except he was defending his sister Deidre :0) and nothing was going to stop him, not even being an oversized Omega. But everything isn't as it seems someone else is planning to take advantage of the alpha challenge.
If you go in with eyes wide open and you're looking for a sizzling sex-y tale then this story is for you. Also be prepared for some savage fighting and cheating in the third shifter's form.
